Our Story



La Bottega del Tartufo was born in 2014 in the hills of the upper Tiber on the initiative of the brothers Filippo and Luca Fumanti and their father Giuseppe.

 

Raised in the restaurant business, Luca and Filippo have decided to share their passion for one of the most noble and valuable ingredients of Italian cuisine: truffle. 

 

For 30 years, Giuseppe devoted himself to truffle hunting, passing this passion on to his children.

For the two brothers, this naturally led to a desire to bring people closer to the world of truffles.

Supported by Giuliano Martinelli, founder of Giuliano Tartufi and longtime friend, the boys begin this new adventure by opening the first single-brand store dedicated to products based on truffle and fresh truffles.

 

The first Bottega del Tartufo to open its doors was the one in Perugia and that was the beginning of a winning formula.

In a short time, the store network expanded to other Italian cities, beginning with Siena, Arezzo and Lucca.

 Other shops were inaugurated in Genova, Bergamo, Como, Venice, Rome, Matera, Lecce, Florence, Alghero, Verona, San Gimignano, Turin, Taormina.

La Bottega del Tartufo has expanded and opened stores also abroad - in Prague, San Sebastian, and also ships to customers all over Europe.
